About the Job

We're recruiting for our 2024 season and have positions available in The Turntable Café, Ravenglass station and Fellbites, Dalegarth station.

Opportunities for full and part-time seasonal contracts - we can offer flexibility around contractual hours. Weekday and weekend work available.

Your job role would involve:

• Setting up the counter and tables at the start of the day.
• Making and serving tea and coffee.
• Serving meals, snacks, and cakes.
• Taking payments by cash and card/operating the till.
• Providing excellent customer service making sure customers are happy.
• Carrying out daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Cleaning of counters, floors, and tables.
• Assisting other members of the team, where needed.
• Your service should be delivered in an effective and friendly manner.
• Ensure stock is rotated and displayed in a tidy manner.
• Daily records and checks must be maintained.

Please note that hours of work will be variable throughout the year/term due to the seasonal nature of the business.

Person Specification

Do you have experience in the hospitality industry, including operating tills and providing excellent customer service?

Our ideal candidate will have some previous hospitality experience, but this is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential, is that you have a genuine passion for customer service. You'll be naturally confident, friendly, helpful and enjoy working as part of a small, close-knit team. You'll be an excellent communicator and be flexible, focused, and self-motivated.
