Job Summary
We are seeking two reliable and detail-oriented housekeepers to join our friendly team at Tewitfield Marina. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring our holiday accommodation is presented to the highest standards, helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
This is a varied role with key responsibilities being, but not limited to:
Cleaning and Presentation:
- Carry out daily and turnaround cleaning of self-catering holiday accommodation to a consistently high standard, ensuring all rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas are clean, well-presented, and welcoming for arriving guests.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly, safely, and stored appropriately after use.
Inspection and Quality Control:
- Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing inventory items to the relevant department for action.
Stock Management:
- Monitor the use and levels of cleaning supplies and materials.
- Assist with the ordering and replenishment of stock to ensure adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
Customer Service:
- Deliver a friendly, courteous, and helpful service to all guests and visitors, responding to any reasonable requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Positively represent the company, maintaining a well-groomed and presentable appearance while on duty.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Work at all times in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring your safety and that of colleagues, guests, and contractors on-site.
- Immediately report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents to your line manager.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines and company procedures.
Teamwork and Flexibility:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Be flexible in your duties, including availability to work weekends, public holidays, and changeover days, as required by the needs of the business.
Additional Duties:
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities that the company may reasonably require.
Essential Qualifications, Certifications or Licences
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, COSHH and safe handling (training can be provided).
Required Knowledge and/or Experience
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations is an advantage.

- Weekend and bank holiday working may be required.
