Tewitfield Marina is situated alongside the Tewitfield Locks, on the Lancaster Canal, just outside Carnforth. The purpose-built site offers holiday accommodation and 56 private boat moorings for narrow boats and cruisers. Nestled in the picturesque countryside just outside Carnforth, Lancashire, our self-catering holiday apartment complex and marina offers guests a serene escape into nature. About the Job
As a General Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our apartments and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Routine maintenance and repairs: Conduct regular checks and maintenance tasks within the apartments and communal areas, addressing any issues promptly.
- Grounds keeping: Assisting with the upkeep of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are welcoming and well-maintained for our guests.
- Guest support: Provide assistance and support to guests regarding facility-related queries or concerns.
- Project work: Participating in larger maintenance projects or renovations as required, contributing to improvements and upgrades throughout the complex.
Reporting
The successful applicant will report to the Maintenance Manager
Person Specification
- Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance role is essential. However, we can provide further training in areas if required.
- Skills: You're handy with tools, have a keen eye for detail, and possess good DIY skills. You will be familiar with a wide range of maintenance tasks.
- Personality: Friendly, approachable, and a problem-solver at heart. You're willing to go the extra mile to ensure high standards.
- Flexibility: Able to work Tuesday to Saturday, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the company.
- Driving: A full clean UK driving licence is beneficial due to the rural location of our complex.
