Dawn Photography Cruise with Mark Littlejohn (April)

Dawn Photography Cruise with Mark Littlejohn. A unique opportunity to join local award winning photographer Mark Littlejohn on-board a private charter at dawn. Capture the dawn through the lens with an expert on hand for advice on how to get the best pictures. Ticket price £45 per person includes cruise, a complimentary tea/coffee & croissant on-board, places are limited and must be booked in advance, wear suitable clothing. Dogs not permitted.















Cruise departs Glenridding at 5.30am, returning at 8.30am.

Great North Steam Fair at Beamish

River Mite will be visiting Beamish museum in County Durham from 6th to 9th April 2017 for a re-enactment of its delivery from York to Ravenglass in December 1966 behind steam traction engine 'Providence'. 'Providence' will pull River Mite on a trailer around the museum road circuit throughout the 4 days. The team will also be there handing out goodies so come along and find us!

Teddies go FREE

Our ever popular Teddies go Free over the Easter holidays. Kids grab your BFF and bring them along for a free cruise. Kids between 5 -1 5 years travel free* in this period when accompanied by their teddy bear. Follow the fairy trails around the Ullswater Way - #findthefairies

As part of the valley Daff Fest we have laid out a daffodil trail for you to explore between Aira Force and Glenridding/Pooley Bridge. Prizes to be won en route.

Launch of the FREE King Arthur app trail

We'll be adding a new Trail to the app for you to enjoy in 2017. Linked to Arthurian legend and known as “The Dark Lake”. Explore the hidden secrets around the valley, meet some of the Knights and find out where Lady of the Lake takes her name.

Teddies go FREE !

Join in the fun this Easter as we grab those teddies because #teddyfest is back!

All children travelling with their teddy bear travel free on Ride all Day fares when accompanied by a full fare paying adult. Keep an eye out for our teddy trail clues around the railway too to win great prizes! There is also some colouring activities at Dalegarth station and enjoy the free National Trust Exhibition, open all year.

Fish and Chip Evenings

Join an evening diesel departure from Ravenglass at 6pm and enjoy a Fish and Chip Supper at Fellbites Cafe, Dalegarth for Boot Station. Ticket price £10.50 includes a Fish Supper at Dalegarth. Call Dalegarth to book on 019467 23192.
