RSPB Red Deer CruisesRSPB escorted private cruise from Glenridding to Howtown, then transfers into Martindale to witness nature's spectacle the Red Deer Rut. Departs Glenridding 10.30am returns 3.30pm, £16 non-RSPB members & £14 members, children (5 to 15 years) half price, proceeds to RSPB. This is a very popular event and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment as places are limited. Please wear suitable clothing; bring a packed lunch, light refreshments are available on-board. There is a five minute walk with an initial moderate uphill climb, then a level path. There is a stream to cross so appropriate footwear is required. Please feel free to bring your own binoculars or scopes although good quality viewing equipment is on hand, supplied by the RSPB. It is a great day out for all ages and one of nature’s finest events. Dogs not permitted. Booking will open in the new year.

Peppa Pig at the Railway - 7th & 8th OctoberPeppa Pig returns to the Railway for the second of two visits in 2017!
Purchase a Ride All Day special event ticket and hop on one of our trains to the activity marquee at Dalegarth. Here you can see Peppa Pig and enjoy some entertainment. There will be photos opportunities so don’t forget your camera!

Online ticket prices are £15 adult, £7 child (3-15), free for children under 3. Tickets on the day will cost £16 adult, £8 children (3-15), under 3 free on the day.
Ticket includes full line return, Peppa Pig Appearances, marquee activity and a half price family voucher to return in the 2017 season.
Please note: Dogs are not allowed at this event and a buggy park will be available at Ravenglass.
Seating is allocated on a first come first serve basis, we will be running an enhanced timetable on both of these days.

Autumn Colours Photography Cruise & Walk with Mark LittlejohnJoin us and Mark Littlejohn to capture the magnificent Autumn colours through the lens with a photography expert, around the Aira Force waterfalls, stopping at the National Trust tearoom to pick up a complimentary takeaway tea/coffee and muffin before heading back along the footpath to Glenridding. Meet at Glenridding Pier for the 10am sailing to Aira Force, returning by foot at approx. 2.30pm. Please wear suitable clothing; bring a packed lunch, the walk back to Glenridding is 3.5 miles for easy/moderate fitness. £30 per person, ticket price includes Photography tuition & guide, single cruise to Aira Force and complimentary tea/coffee & muffin or danish pastry. Dogs welcome, but on leads at all times.

Halloween Ghost TrainsBack with more spooky tricks than ever in 2017 with two extra dates! Feeling brave?
Travel the line in darkness and keep those eyes peeled for some of our fiendish friends! This event is very popular and must be booked in advance.
Ticket includes all day travel and a reserved seat on the Ghost Train from Dalegarth.
The Ghost Train steams out of Dalegarth Hollow at 6pm but please note that this is a one way journey only. Make sure you park in Ravenglass and allow time to catch the train up the valley. Activities at Dalegarth include facepainting and spooky arts & crafts.
Tickets are £16 adult, £8 child (3-15), children under 3 are free.
Ticket includes all day travel on the railway, a reserved seat on the Ghost Train from Dalegarth, activities at Dalegarth station and a spooky sweet goody bag when, or if, you return!

Halloween Ghostly Galleon - Book in AdvanceMagic, monsters and mayhem on-board the Ghostly Galleon with magician Stu-Di-Doo. A 90 minute cruise departing from Glenridding at either 12.30pm or 2.30pm. Ticket price £13 per spook, under 3s free, includes cruise, magic show, take home your own monster balloon and a sweetie goodie bag. Extra activities on-board include tattoos and Halloween colouring. Tea/coffee and Pumpkin squash also included. Dogs not permitted.
