The Great Galloping Giveaway – Terms & Conditions
- Promoter
The promoter is Lake District Estates, operating holiday parks and holiday home ownership in the Lake District (“the Promoter”).
- Competition Name
The competition is titled The Great Galloping Giveaway (“the Competition”).
- Eligibility
3.1 The Competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
3.2 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the Competition are not eligible to enter.
3.3 Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated.- Entry Period
4.1 The Competition opens on 1 May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 6th July 2026 (“Closing Date”).
Prizes listed below with last date listed to enter:
- Table for 6, The Glasshouse, Cartmel Gathering 25th May. Entries close 15th May.
- 4 course/paddock-combined tickets, Sunset & Silks Evening race meeting, 27th May. Entries close 18th May.
- 6 course tickets Kaiser Chiefs Fri 26th June. Entries close 8th June.
- 4 course tickets Ladies Day Saturday 18th July. Entries close 6th July
- 2 Parade Ring Restaurant Tickets, Ladies Day Saturday 18th July. Entries close 6th July
4.2 Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.
- How to Enter
5.1 Entry is free of charge. No purchase is necessary.
5.2 To enter, participants must complete the official online entry form.
5.3 All required fields must be completed for a valid entry.- Prizes
6.1 Prizes consist of tickets to selected events at Cartmel Racecourse during the 2026 season (or equivalent substitute prizes of equal value if necessary).
6.2 Specific events, dates, and ticket allocations are subject to availability.
6.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes with alternatives of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary.- Winner Selection & Notification
7.1 Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the Closing Date.
7.2 The draw will take place within 2 days of the Competition closing.
7.3 Winners will be contacted using the details provided on the entry form.
7.4 If a winner does not respond within 5 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.- Publicity
8.1 The Promoter may request winners’ consent to use their name and county for promotional purposes.
8.2 Winners are not obliged to participate in publicity.- Data Protection & GDPR
9.1 The Promoter is the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR.

Additional third party consent for marketing communications about Cartmel racecourse events and Holker Estates.
9.3 Marketing communications will only be sent where explicit consent has been provided via the entry form.
9.4 Entrants may withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in emails or by contacting the Promoter.
9.5 Personal data will be stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined above.
9.6 Data will not be sold to third parties.- General
12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition where necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.
12.2 The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding.
