Job Title: RETAIL ASSISTANT

We are seeking two part-time Retail Assistants to join our small, passionate team at our Ullswater Steamers' shop at Pooley Bridge.
As the shop also provides a ticket office and tourist information point, it is essential that you are passionate about the local community and the Lake District. The shop has just begun a journey of dynamic re-focus and you will be a part of this exciting development.
We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and our team need to develop an excellent understanding of our product ranges, including exciting local produce and ensure that the shop is always presented to a high standard.
You will be expected to actively engage with all customers and visitors, offering help and advice with their purchase or enquiry. You must have excellent knowledge of the local area and the ability to talk enthusiastically with visitors about what the Lake District has to offer including promoting our own Ullswater 'Steamers'.
Position 1: 6-hours per week to include some weekend/public holiday working
Position 2: 12-hours per week to include some weekend/public holiday working
Both roles are fixed-term ending 30th September 2020.
£8.21 per hour (subject to increase in April in line with the National Living Wage of £8.72)

Job Title: RECEPTIONIST - FULL TIME / FIXED TERM
We are seeking an experienced and versatile individual to join our team at Hill of Oaks. You will provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, meeting and greeting customers or visitors and dealing efficiently with their enquiries. You will also be the first point of contact for incoming telephone and email enquiries which will require professional, enthusiastic and effective handling.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for customer service and enjoys working as part of a small team. You will need a good understanding of the English language and be able to understand and communicate clearly with your colleagues and customers at all times. The ideal candidate will have the skills and ability to manage customer expectations efficiently, be flexible, focused, proactive and self-motivated.
37 hours per week to include some weekend and public holiday working
This is a fixed term position to 06/01/2021
£8.21 per hour (subject to increase in April in line with the National Living Wage)
